What I can help with

I offer person-centred, holistic counselling, using evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to help manage anxiety and stress. In our first session, we’ll explore what brought you to counselling and identify the best ways to move forward. With CBT, I can help you challenge unhelpful thoughts and perceptions that may be causing distress, and facilitate personal-growth. I will support you in achieving your goals and gaining greater insight into your life.

What does counselling involve?

I am flexible in my approach to counselling. I believe this is the best way of making sure each person gets what they need out of counselling.

You are entitled to honest and genuine communication from your counsellor, as well as empathy, acceptance, respect, and care.

While not necessarily agreeing with everything the client says or does, the counsellor acknowledges their position, expresses concern, and avoids judgement. We create a safe space to navigate what life throws our way.

This tailored approach means our sessions might involve talking, role-playing, problem-solving and decision-making, creative methods, or practical strategies, all based on your unique needs and to promote your emotional health and well-being.

How do I pay for my appointment?
Payment is processed at the time of your online booking. This way we utilise the session time for counselling.  All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

Can I change or cancel my appointment?
You can change or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your appointment time. A full refund will be provided for appointments cancelled with 24 hours or more notice. For appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a 50% refund will be provided.

Counselling is a talking-therapy, where a trained counsellor works with clients to address and talk through their issues. It provides a safe space for clients to share their stories, work through emotions, and make positive changes in their lives. Counsellors facilitate self-reflection, self-awareness, problem-solving, and encourage the acquisition of social skills to help clients overcome challenges and enhance their wellbeing.

No. You do not need a referral from your doctor to attend counselling sessions.

You have the flexibility to decide the number and frequency of counselling sessions based on your needs. Typically, clients attend counselling sessions regularly for a minimum of two to three months.

Unfortunately, at this time Medicare does not cover the cost of counselling services.

Appointments are conducted online through a video call. Once you have booked your appointment online, you’ll receive an email confirming your appointment time and further details of how to join your video call.
